Galápagos Sea Lion

Day Nine of April Landscape Photo Challenge

San Cristobal (Galapagos, Ecuador) is the place to see sea lions.

Galapagos Sea Lions

They are wildlife who live side by side with humans and many of them are roaming around in public places. It’s fun to watch them, but at the same time, I feel like we have invaded their space. They are considered as endangered animals and their population is decreasing. More: the Sea Lions in Galapagos.

    • I am afraid so. The number of humans population on the island is also increasing. I don’t think Galapagos limits the number of tourists but for sure it could help as well to encourage the wildlife conservation there.

    • Me too!! I am not sure right now.. but when I was there, the only limit they had was on the number of boats traveling to specific areas, just like our boats at that time had to sail on specific schedules to avoid crowds. But I am not sure on the number of tourists..
