Hiking to the Cotopaxi Mountain (Ecuador)
Our last day in Ecuador was marked by hiking to the Cotopaxi Mountain (Ecuador). It was a tiring day, but we did it, I reached the Jose Rivas Refuge at 4864 meters (15,973 feet) above the sea level.

Incredible hike…awesome pics…the altitude boggles my mind. Highest I have hiked is just over 14,000 ft…that was when I was much younger…..:)

oh my~that photo is spectacular. I would love to bring my kids to go with me one day. probably not soon just because they are still very young. definitely when they don’t need me to carry them everywhere. This would be on my bucketlist. Thank you for sharing!

Almost 16,000 ft 🙂 The mountain is the second highest mountain in Ecuador. We did not reach its summit though..
