Hiking to the Cotopaxi Mountain (Ecuador)
Our last day in Ecuador was marked by hiking to the Cotopaxi Mountain (Ecuador). It was a tiring day, but we did it, I reached the Jose Rivas Refuge at 4864 meters (15,973 feet) above the sea level.
The story about the hiking will come later but this time, let me share two images of the hiking and the amazing view of Cotopaxi Mountain. Have a great week!

Breath taking in more ways than one. Wonderful captures Indah.
Thank you so much! ❤
Did you scream, “I can see my house from up here!”
Hahahaha 😀 totally forgot about the screaming part! It was freezing cold, the only thing I could think of was a cup of hot choco 😀
I see the grandeur of nature in your photos! Wonderful! Thank you.
Thank you so much, Cecilia! So happy hear to know you enjoy the post 🙂
Incredible hike…awesome pics…the altitude boggles my mind. Highest I have hiked is just over 14,000 ft…that was when I was much younger…..:)
Thank you so much, Kirt! 14,000 ft is high too! I agree about the altitude, it was a big challenge!
oh my~that photo is spectacular. I would love to bring my kids to go with me one day. probably not soon just because they are still very young. definitely when they don’t need me to carry them everywhere. This would be on my bucketlist. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much! It would be an interesting experience travel for everyone, and especially to get them closer to nature 🙂
16,000 feet? Wow.
Almost 16,000 ft 🙂 The mountain is the second highest mountain in Ecuador. We did not reach its summit though..
All that I can think is “Wow”. Stunning photography.
Thank you so much! 🙂
Stunning #BW. Can’t wait to visit
You will love the area – it’s stunning but it’s cold too!! I thought I was escaping the winter in Minnesota but apparently not 😀
