Costa Rica: Crocodiles under the Bridge
Seriously, I had goosebumps when seeing tens of crocodiles under the bridge in Costa Rica. They live next to the river bank of Rio Tarcoles.

Dutchie and I stopped at the bridge on our way to Utila (Pacific side of Costa Rica) from San Jose. We have heard about the famous crocodiles that live on the Rio Tarcoles. Drivers slowed down their vehicles to see the crocodiles, but it was impossible to see them from the road. It’s better to park your car in front of the restaurants next to the bridge then walk to the bridge. There was enough space to park and the locals offered their services to guard your car. We spent less than 15 minutes to see the crocodiles under the bridge and it was more than enough to know how dangerous it must be down there!

so did the locals guard your car from the crocodiles!? just kidding – and your pics in B-W are fitting of the mood – and I have not seen very many crocodiles – but many alligators and in Florida – alligator is served at many restaurants – tastes like chewy chicken –
OMG..I had no idea there is the special menu from alligator meat served in Florida! Oh, I hope these crocs are never going up! That would be freaky!!
yes – that would be freaky – and I do not really like the alligator meat – chewy chicken with a hint go game taste….
Yikes! 🙂
Exactly!
🙂
Wow! Do they ever climb up to the road, or even the restaurant?
I do wonder as well. It is possible if the river’s water goes up. Gosh, I hope they would not climb up though..
Serem…
Gokil banget. Apalagi di Florida, katanya aligator liar suka jalan-jalan di jalan raya sama halaman rumah penduduk kayak normal kucing gitu.
They do look menacing. ..very dangerous. ..what if they walked up..
I hope they won’t! That’s scary!
Would give me the chills too!!!
Not something that we wish to see everyday! 🙂
