Monochrome Monday: Abandoned
I’ve always been fascinated with photography of abandoned places. Abandoned places are everywhere in the world but unfortunately the places usually are not safe for touristic purposes and closed for public. I have doubt that we could enter these places without permits. When I traveled to Lisbon (Portugal), I saw few empty buildings with scattered walls. My mind ran wild, thinking these places were abandoned places with odd things inside 🙂
Have you seen unique abandoned places? Perhaps one of these places as listed in Bored Panda – 31 Haunting Images of Abandoned Places?
Wonderful! The abandoned feel of the photos are accentuated by the clock that is now still. It’s as though time stands still, in that one moment, frozen forever. Ghostly and beautiful.
Thank you so much Rob!
Wonderful ghostly shadows in your shots Indah!
Thank you Patti 🙂
Those photos are beautiful on B&W.

Indah, this is awesome. I also like photos of abandoned places. I lived in Hong Kong back in 2000/2001, in a small village on the outskirts of the district (right across from mainland China). There were some pretty cool ruins there. I’m sure you would take awesome pictures of them.
I really love, but love this first photo. The character and depth are amazing.
🙂
Thank you so much Stacilys! Hong Kong is a fascinating for such places..especially I have heard that the Chinese would not want to stay in a house where people were murdered..so perhaps there was interesting story behind abandoned places in HK 🙂
