Monochrome Monday: Abandoned

abandoned

Abandoned walls in Lisbon (click for large image)

I’ve always been fascinated with photography of abandoned places. Abandoned places are everywhere in the world but unfortunately the places usually are not safe for touristic purposes and closed for public. I have doubt that we could enter these places without permits. When I traveled to Lisbon (Portugal), I saw few empty buildings with scattered walls. My mind ran wild, thinking these places were abandoned places with odd things inside 🙂

Have you seen unique abandoned places? Perhaps one of these places as listed in Bored Panda – 31 Haunting Images of Abandoned Places?

  1. Abandoned places are often subject to beautiful black and white pictures !! nice set – I go a few days on vacation and come back in early May – Friendships

  2. I’m a chicken and so I’m not gonna read that list of Abandoned Places as they will sure as hell freak me out! lol!
But I love your pics Indah! As always, they are the best ❤

  3. There’s lot of abandoned buildings and houses in Mexico. Even more so in “posh” areas. Inheritance disputes most times. A shame when so many people in the world don’t even have a decent roof above their heads! 😦
