My Top Five Favorite Sea Animals
Having been an avid scuba diver since 2010, I have my top five favorite sea animals that I don’t mind seeing again and again whenever I am diving. Here’s the list and their pictures…. let’s counting down…
Fifth: Moray Eel
I adore the gentle Moray eel. Despite its fierce looks that look alike a giant snake with sharp teeth, the eel is one of the gentle sea animals that will not bother you unless being bothered (obviously). I just realized that I hadn’t written the facts of Moray eel on Marine Life posts. However, during my dive in Sal Island (Cabo Verde), I have never seen so many moray eels in one dive travel ever. Moray eel can be found worldwide.

Fourth: Blenny and Goby
I love seeing Blenny and Goby fish because of their photogenic look with huge eyes that are curious about their surroundings. These shy fish can be found almost everywhere. Due to its small size and shyness, we need to pay attention to find them. They usually stay inside hideouts along the seabed or on the holes of the corals.

Third: Sea Turtle
I have written a post entitled Five Facts about the Sea Turtle, and finding out their facts makes me adore them even more! Global warming may impact the sea turtle’s population as their sex is determined by the sands of the beach’ temperature during the egg’s incubation.
The turtle came out of the blue when we were laying on the rocks looking at Hammerhead sharks
Second: Clownfish
Clownfish, oh, of course! Who has the heart to dislike Nemo and Marlin? It is common to see them in tropical seawater. Thus I am expecting to see them soon on my first scuba diving trip during the pandemic. They are territorial fish who guard their anemone ferociously – although a cute kind of intimidating looking compared to Moray eel. More about the Clownfish – Clownfish: Facts, Pictures and Video!
First: Nudibranch
Nudibranch can be found worldwide. Its uniqueness lays in its colorful body that often can inspire fashion designers. The nudibranch is too beautiful to be ignored when diving into the sea. My first Marine Life post was about their colorful texture, and then I continue writing on a few posts on the nudibranch series. I am that fond of nudibranch; maybe I am a nudibranch geek 😀

Awesome Photos Indah. My favourite would have to be the Dolphins. I dont go underwater very often, so they are one of the few that play above the surface of the ocean 🙂
Thank you so much! I love dolphins too.. tbh, I rarely saw them underwater, but indeed they are easily seen above the surface. Australia has quite number of them.. must be amazing to see them when swimming on the sea or when surfing..
