Peekaboo!

Some marine species are known to stay inside hideouts along the seabed or on the holes of the corals. I have seen numerous fish took a peek while part of their body still hidden inside their natural habitat, the holes of the corals or sands.

My favorite picture of a Blenny fish took a peek from its hideout. It was taken in Moalboal, the Philippines.

A Moray eel peeks out from its hole could be quite intimidating! Meeting this eel as pictured was one of those moments. I met him in Raja Ampat, Indonesia. He was a friendly guy though, just curious but did no harm to the scuba divers.

And lastly…could you see a fish peeks out from his hideout? This image was taken in Hawai’i, USA.
