The Roman Forum

Roman Forum in Rome (Italy) is a plaza of Roman ruins that used to be a market area in the ancient Romans. It is a confusing complex if you asked my opinion, but worth to see and visit, especially if you like to solve puzzles 🙂

In this complex, you will find ruins of basilica, temples and arches. They had different functions during its glorious time in the past. Earthquakes had destroyed the forum several times. I find it is impressive that some ruins still stand strong until present day.

If you wish to walk around the Roman Forum and its surroundings, please check this excellent walking trail suggestion: Roman Forum, Coliseum and Capitoline Hill. The trail information also provides a walking route map, images and description of the ruins. The entrance ticket to Roman Forum includes the Colosseum entrance.
