The Tiniest Frogfish

Have you ever seen a frogfish (anglerfish) this tiny? This frogfish was the tiniest one I have ever seen. He was still a baby. I was glad that I brought a measure stick during my diving to scale the fish. The fish was less than two centimeters.

Someday I will write about the frogfish on the monthly Marine Life post  😉  Stay tuned!

Photos were taken in Dauin, Negros Island, the Philippines.

  1. Thank you so much for sharing this “little discovery” Indah.

As pretty much the landlubber that I am, I am so enthralled with wonder with your underwater photography. It is like a whole different world underwater. 🙂

  2. What cute frogfish. Never seen anything like this before. In the first photo, it looks like it has four legs, like it’s climbing up a mountain or something 😀 At the same time, it looks lost and quite kawaii ❤

    • Glad to share this frogfish with you! You are right about it looks lost, he was just a baby and alone..and I saw few baby frogfish as well after this one but different colors. So I guess the baby frogfish were living separately instead as a group. Most likely they are hatched from the eggs..
