Packing Tips & Tricks for Travel
Co-produced by Rebateszone & indahs.com
Where should you begin your travels! There are so many places to visit in the States alone. We would recommend starting from NY and take a road trip to Alaska. Or if you don’t really love the urban areas, then it may be time to start thinking about that one thing, which every traveler does at some point in his life. This is only compounded, if you are attracted towards hiking. Yes, we are talking about one of the Big Trails. We are talking about going thru-hiking across the Appalachian Trail. But, don’t just start on it. It is a lonely journey. And it requires some really cool gear and training. Backcountry can take care of the gear problems, but training is more difficult.
If you are completely out of shape and it is a dream which has been recently inspired by some movie you saw, we would suggest start with camping out. Then move on to hiking through short trails. Nothing big at the start, it can just be trips that only take your weekend. This will prepare you for the wild. Another very good skill to have is a basic knowledge of plants and the wild. After all, if you are going on a potentially 6-8 month journey anything can happen. Read up on some books and actually try the things out beforehand. If this course is followed, you will be ready to take the trip in about 1 year.
However, there is another important thing which needs to be tackled: packing all the things that you will need to carry. It is a balance between staying comfortable and having to carry that. We would suggest that you go through the following, well-prepared infographic to learn about the best ways to pack.

Great tips Indah. We are all about traveling light.
Indeed! Thank you so much, Sue. Gladly sharing this info 🙂
Great advice! Thank you for sharing 🙂
Merci Indah pour ton billet très intéressant. C’est super 🙂
Belle journée avec mes amitiés.
Choosing where to go can be hard as you said, but packing also can be equally hard! Love this infographic, and I think it covers all the essentials needed for traveling. Always good to have travel sized things and especially aid because you never know when you need it. The eye wear case is a good one too – you never know when you need a spare pair of glasses or contact lenses like me 😀
A packing list is always the best tip, followed by packing light.
It would be outstanding to hike the entire length of the Appalachian Trail.
FAB Suggestions!!! I will use this info for sure!
Wow, great tips with the nice ilustrations. Thanks for sharing, mbak Indah
