Bird’s Head Seascape: Article & Photos Contribution
Just a short post. I am contributing an article and photos to Bird’s Head Seascape, an online media that provides information on Cendrawasih Bay, Raja Ampat, and Triton Bay in West Papua (Indonesia). The media is also supporting the eco/cultural-tourism, marine and terrestrial conservation. It has partnerships with several environmental NGOs in the region. Conservation International mentioned the Bird’s Head Seascape as “a global model for community-driven conservation”.
Bird’s Head Seascape is also a continuation of a wonderful book (supported by Conservation International), Diving Indonesia’s Bird’s Head Seascape. It was written by an American couple, Burt Jones and Maurine Shimlock. They are also underwater photographers. They took amazing underwater photography as you can see at their website: Secret Sea Vision. Looking at their underwater photos, I realize that I still have to practicing my underwater photography a lot more!
I am pleased to contribute my work for them. The article is available through this link – Wayag, the Picturesque Island of the North. Best fishes and have a great day!
