Wayag Islands Raja Ampat

Limestone islands in Wayag  (Raja Ampat, Indonesia) are not only amazing to view but also to dive into. The islands are uninhabited, and far from the closest mainland, Waigeo Island.

My travel and scuba diving story in the Wayag Islands was published as Wayag Islands, the Icon of Raja Ampat. Raja Ampat is one of amazing diving destinations I have been experienced. Truly recommended for avid scuba divers!

  1. Very beautiful… almost like something someone imagined and created this image in a 3d package.. Thank you for sharing this.. really lovely 🙂

    • Thank you so much! Raja Ampat just recently researched by scientists that the area has incredible number of marine species – at least the area has 75% of coral species of the world – the largest number to be found 🙂

  2. Amazing. Is it possible to visit without diving intentions? Have you visit the island (on surface)?;)

    • Thank you! Yest, it is possible to visit the area without diving..We did visit the island and actually the picture was taken from one of its peak. The island is perfect for hiking, but the problem was the heat – so after hiking, you may want to jump into the water for swimming or snorkeling 🙂
