  1. What about a box of chocolate, glass of champagne with a beautiful sunset over the ocean. Two great shots out of the hip with the Oly Indah. πŸ˜€ Congratulations.

    • Thank you Erwin! Yup, finally use my Oly and found an excellence lens that perfect for street photography – it is 75mm, have to be in distance but it is perfect for a shy photographer :))

      • LOL mine is also 75mm in 35 term or 50 crop. I like it too and with 1.8 quite fast. Did you have fun taking the photos or are you still shaking? John Holding just told me today that you can easy hold up the camera and if someone is not happy you can delete the photo. Yours is perfect focused. Both shots are beautiful. Did you manual or auto? I have still problems with the focus and my lens has wire focus with no markings. I don’t like that.

        • Actually for these photos, I was sitting for drinks with some friends outside of an cafe. So that helped a lot. No one cares about what I did with my camera, so no shaking πŸ˜€ I use manual setting, keep changing depends on the lighting but for focusing I use auto focus. So far this lens is perfect, no problems with auto-focus and very fast. Can Oly lens fix in your Sony?
And thank you for the tip! I will try it next time..maybe on a public event first..still have no courage to do it in the shopping mall or even in a park πŸ™‚

          • Sitting in a cafΓ© or on a bank is always good, and in a park you have more light then in a shopping centre. You can play with the camera, stabilize it on the table and push the bottom by “accident”. But I like in away the challenge and had a good question ready if someone asked me what I’m doing: Where is the camera shop my camera needs a repair? πŸ˜€ But it’s a bit odd go shopping with a camera around the neck. πŸ˜€

Yes I can use Oly lenses with the Nex. and I have one for my old OM-1 lenses. But this lenses are only manual. Aperture and focus and I never tried it for photos since I have the 50mm Sony lens. I have still quite a lot of the old OM-1 gear in a box and tried several lenses with the VG10 for video. This video of a model 1:18 is filmed with the Oly zoom lens and few adaptors. πŸ™‚ and shows a very shallow DOF. http://vimeo.com/22229760. This was 3 years ago quite sensational for video cameras. πŸ™‚

            • πŸ˜€ great idea about preparing a question or so..or you can pretend that you are a total tourist – as long as your English is not influenced by Aussie accent yet πŸ˜€ I will check your vimeo later today – sounds an interesting one!!

                • The video is awesome! nice Ferrari btw πŸ˜‰ That’s a great way to show how the lens works! Perhaps a new section in your blog about lens review?
Btw, I heart your video in vimeo but it appears vimeo connection with my fb account broke down today so will try it again tonight πŸ˜‰

                  • πŸ™‚ Thank you Indah, yes it’s a nice Ferrari. It’s a shame I don’t have the keys for it and your connection did not work well. I tried just now and it worked here. Sometimes videos on Vimeo are sleeping 😦

  2. Lovely captures Indah. A hug definitely wins out for me. A beautiful sunset comes in next πŸ™‚

  3. No doubt what the answer to your question is. And what a wonderful pair of photographs. Shows the close and touching relationship between mother and child. The use of black and white fits perfectly to the subject and what it conveys.

    • Thank you Draco! It is indeed and addictive :)) aaahh..bought a new lens because of that..it seems the inspiration from you becomes an expensive hobby πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ (not regret it at all though, truly enjoy it)
