Rediscovering Me: Solo Travel Adventures

Post-divorce solo travel? Been there, done that. My blog used to be all about adventures with Dutchie, my ex-travel partner.

Life changes, and we officially uncoupled.

The dog is mine, thankfully.

It took me a while to face this blog again and acknowledge that my blog travel stories were post-divorce solo travel lately. It’s all about me, myself, and I. Diving into solo travel wasn’t a walk in the park. Picture me navigating life without a travel buddy. But my second solo diving trip to Lombok? Game-changer. Confidence and comfort kicked in. Then came the third diving trip in Anilao, then the fourth at Alor Island… well, I need to write them down here sooner or later…

Solo travel post-divorce is a reset button. It’s time for self-discovery and personal growth. No more compromises – you’re the boss now.

Dealing with divorce is tough emotionally. Solo travel? Bring your cape. Challenges? You’ll handle them like a pro.

Freedom alert! Solo travel means you decide where to go, what to do, and at what speed – no negotiations are needed. It’s liberating. Although, I must say I miss my dog daily when travelling.

Meeting new people is part of the solo travel package. Lifelong friendships? Totally possible.

It’s empowerment time! Solo travel is a journey to taking back the reins of your life. It boosts self-esteem and revives independence.

But here’s the deal – solo travel isn’t a one-size-fits-all remedy. Respect your feelings, take your time to heal, and if you need it, seek professional support. Also, safety first. Do your research, stay aware, and take necessary precautions.

Here’s to solo travel this year – the ultimate journey of rediscovery, freedom, and kicking post-divorce life right in the wander!
